FEARLESS. DRIVEN. UNSTOPPABLE

A Lens, a Life, and a Lot of Coffee

Mathew R. Fowler

Owner

I’ve worn a few hats in my life, ACH, snowboard helmet, and the occasional chef’s hat, but these days, the one I wear most is a camera strap slung over my shoulder. My name’s Mathew, and I’m the kind of guy who will hike ten miles for a shot of a sunrise, then come home and cook a meal big enough to feed everyone who helped carry the gear.

Before I pointed my lens at the world, I served as a combat specialist in the military. That experience wired me to notice details others might miss, the shadows between the trees, the way a face changes in half a second, the split-second shift between chaos and calm. Now, instead of battlefield strategy, I’m focused on connecting nature, humanity, and technology through the stories I capture on film.

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually somewhere outdoors snowboarding down a mountain, hiking into the wilderness, or staring at a trail map and pretending I know where I’m going. Nature isn’t just a backdrop for me, it’s a teacher, a reminder that everything is connected and fragile and worth protecting. That’s why I study history in my free time, not the boring textbook kind, but the messy, human kind that explains why we are the way we are.

My long-term goal? To build films and shows that matter. Not just “pretty” content, but stories that make you pause mid-scroll and actually feel something.

On the side, I spend time caring for seniors in my community. It keeps me grounded and reminds me that storytelling isn’t only about cameras and scripts—it’s about people. Their stories, their wisdom, and their humor are as cinematic as anything I could capture on film.

So that’s me in a nutshell: veteran, filmmaker, hiker, snowboarder, amateur historian, cook, caretaker, and eternal student of this weird, beautiful world. Stick around, and you’ll probably catch me talking about why collaboration is oxygen in the creative industry, or why the best shot sometimes comes after you’ve nearly frozen your fingers off on a mountain ridge.

After all, life is a story, and I’m here to make sure we capture it before the light fades.
